Ian Ross
Ian is a deeply skilful enabler of positive change for the people he works with. He approaches his task with a rare and powerful combination of rigour, expertise and compassion. After a successful business career he moved into consultancy and training, and has constructed new and effective approaches to coaching, negotiation and conflict resolution on the original foundations of NLP.
Ian works with individuals and small and large groups, and has developed an uncanny skill for asking the precise question that gets to the heart of a problem situation and triggers its resolution – even (and especially) when it is the most uncomfortable question to be asked. He applies this skill in ground-breaking ways, particularly in conflict resolution where, both to his embarrassment and his pride, he is as known as a ‘Red Adair’ by clients who have experienced the cataclysmic shifts he has made possible.
When he is not immersing himself in potentially dangerous conflict situations, whether amongst tribal leaders in sub-Saharan Africa or in UK boardrooms, Ian enjoys helping others to learn what they need and want to learn – in the ways that uniquely suit them best.
Brian Wood
Brian enjoys making things work inside business, and writing about complex subjects in a way that makes them understandable. He started his career as a mathematician and actuary in life assurance companies, but rapidly became fascinated by the challenges of working with people to achieve great results with everyone enjoying the process.
He has worked at senior level for most of his career, having been CEO of two life companies and of two business consultancies. His great strength is in being able to absorb the complexities of a business situation and shake them down into a structure and format that people can get their teeth into. He is particularly effective working with company directors, either around the boardroom table or one-to-one as coach/mentor.
