The In Time or Through Time filter has implications for punctuality and time management. Unlike most of the other filters, this one is digital – we operate either In Time or Through Time, there is not a continuum between them.
This filter influences how we perceive time and its passing. In the world of project management, someone who is Through Time will have a precise schedule to give them a sense of predictability and control over events. Conversely, the person who is more In Time will tend to be much more spontaneous in their approach, responding to events as they occur – it becomes fairly obvious that anyone with this preference is unlikely to find themselves drawn to a career in projects.
The other aspect of this pattern that will affect us all is time-keeping. The Through Time person will have allowed time to get to the required location and will be on time for the meeting. The In Time person however might still be at their previous appointment because they are fully engaged in the moment with that activity, despite knowing that they need to be somewhere else.
